Stock spares and stop the problem

The smart move is to never be caught by a dead cell mid-project. CR2450s are cheap in multipacks, so keep a strip in your gear. A CR2450 20-pack covers years of swaps, and larger CR2450 50-packs suit a shop running several hoods. If you only need a couple, a smaller CR2450 pack does the job.

Buy fresh, reputable cells with a long shelf life, and store them somewhere dry. A drawer full of dead bargain coin cells helps no one.
